About Me
Hi! My name is Christina Mui and I'm a junior studying Mechanical Engineering and Integrative Arts at Penn State. This site features my works in the fine arts while I'm developing my engineering design portfolio.
I've chosen my dual majors to fit my professional ambition of becoming a product designer. Many products are beautiful, but difficult to use or clean. Others work amazingly well but force the user to tolerate an eyesore in their home.
I hope to create everyday objects that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing, informed by a background that combines both engineering and art. Rather than prioritizing form over function or function over form, my goal is to create exceedingly thoughtful and impressive products in which both aspects are equally important.
I look forward to involvement in the end-to-end process, from prototype conception to commercialization, and to see my products delight consumers. By embracing new technologies like additive manufacturing, prototyping for the industrial scale will be much easier.
Redesigning the world will be just a few clicks away... not including the late nights, failures, and frustrations that I have been told await me in the real world on the path to success.
